Don Terlinden — Adventures in Markmaking
Don will explore the many types of lines and marks that can undergird, strengthen, and enhance drawings. He’ll touch on color, but his emphasis will be much more on value and the various ways that value can be built up from individual marks. He will cover initial “scaffolding” marks that strengthen composition, intermediate marks that communicate structure, and finishing marks that help a work shine. He will offer individual guidance to each student during the workshop.
