Saturday, October 1 From September 29th through October 9th, Gallery 21 is hosting USk San Diego’s Explorations in Urban Sketching art show. Located in Balboa Park’s Spanish Village, the celebrated exhibition features urban sketches by local artists with varied media in sketchbooks and framed art. Drink & Draw
Friday, September 30 Drink & Draw is a pop-up drawing session with a casual atmosphere where you’ll leave your cares behind and go home with a one-of-a-kind sketch. Kick off the USk San Diego 2022 Seminar by enjoying a few drinks with your fellow attendees in Little Italy. Sketchwalks
Rather than drawing complete views, practice capturing the moment by quickly incorporating architecture, sounds, weather, and crowds into the sketch. Join your fellow Urban Sketcher attendees in exploring San Diego through on-location drawing, capturing what can be seen from direct observation. The work will be shared in a throwdown at the conclusion of each crawl so we can see how our observations, taken together, can paint a vivid picture of the walk.
