Sarah Sullivan — Let There Be Light… and Shape… and Color!
The human eye revels in contrast. Find out how black paper, gouache watercolor, and the miracle of contrast make great sketches happen!
In this workshop participants will develop a sketch that tells the story of what catches their eye when they are out by:
- Selecting a subject that excites their eyes
- Placing it on black paper in a way that creates drama
- Using contrasting light, color, and shapes to tell their story with pizzaz!
SUPPLY LIST
- one sheet of heavy black paper (110 to 140 pounds))
- one red or orange pastel pencil
- one crayon of any color
- a small selection of gouache paints (or watercolors and a tube of white gouache)
